Mill Creek
runs through the property and is just one of literally dozens of creeks and streams in the area affording the vacationer
prime fishing opportunities. For lake fishing, Clear Lake, located in wilderness area approximately two
miles from Mahogany Ridge, and Blue Lake at the south end of Jess Valley about ten miles away, are beautiful settings
for a great day of fishing. West Valley Reservoir near the small town of Likely is also about ten miles away and is popular
for fishing, boating and water skiing. Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day there! Mill Creek Falls is a
must see spot along your hiking and backpacking expeditions. Be sure to bring your camera!

Guest Ranch is located in the X3B zone. If you've been drawn for this area consider staying with us. Horseback Riding Trails
For
the avid horseperson, the scenic Warner Mountains offer abundant horseback riding trails and Mahogany Ridge Guest Ranch borders
several of the wilderness trails. Our proximity to the trails will enable you to saddle up and leave from
the ranch without having to transport your horses any farther by trailer. If you would like the services of a professional
to guide you through the mountains please see "Guide Services" on our "Other Services" page. Mahogany
Ridge Guest Ranch is equipped with corrals where you may keep your horses for a nominal fee per day. Don't worry
about feed. We provide hay. Golfing, R.V.ing
For the golfer, Likely Place R.V. & Golf Course is approximately eleven
miles from Mahogany Ridge just off the Jess Valley Road. Play a few holes and have breakfast or lunch with Lynn
and Kathy in the club house. The golf course operates from April 15th to November 1st. To contact the golf course

the wintertime bring your cross country skis or snowmobiles. If you like to downhill ski, the Cedar Pass Ski Hill
is approximately 15 miles east of Alturas on Highway 299

Winery Tours and Wine Tasting...
Stringers Wild Plum Orchard and Winery is located in Modoc County along Highway 395 Northeast
of Alturas approximately 40 miles. In business now for more than 18 years, The Stringer Family harvests wild
plums from their very own orchard in Modoc County used in the production of their award winning wines and delicious syrups,
jams and preserves. And, be sure to bring home their newest product--Wild Plum Brandy! Don't end your vacation
without a tour of this amazing little winery. Hours from April through December, Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m., January through March, please call for an appointment and their staff will be happy to accomodate your
